Just over a week ago, ten Arsenal players left for international duty.

13 appearances later, it seems that all 10 are set to return injury free. Excellent news!

Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny (both France), David Ospina (Colombia), Alexis Sánchez (Chile), and Joel Campbell (Costa Rica) each played twice for their countries with mixed results.

Giroud scored against Germany and was a sub against England, but France’s games – even more than everyone else’s – were overshadowed by far more important events in Paris on Friday evening. Koscielny completed the full 90 minutes on both occasions.

David Ospina helped Colombia to a 1-1 draw with Alexis’ Chilean team before losing to Argentina on Tuesday. Alexis played 180 minutes over the two games and couldn’t help Chile in a 3-0 defeat to Uruguay. His fitness is a concern.

Costa Rica won matches against Haiti and then Panama with Joel Campbell starting in both games.

Santi Cazorla scored against England on Friday evening before Spain’s game against Belgium was cancelled amid more terror threats. Kieran Gibbs didn’t play in that match but did represent the Three Lions in the defeat of France on Tuesday, completing the full 90 minutes.

Petr Čech equalled Karel Poborsky’s record of 118 Czech Republic caps in Tuesday’s loss to Poland.

Gabriel and Alex Iwobi were on the bench for both of Brazil and Nigeria’s games respectively.
