Mathieu Flamini admitted after our 3-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League that the team will need to recover before our game against Norwich at the weekend.

The midfielder, who is currently filling in for the injured Francis Coquelin, spoke after the match and acknowledged that we want to give everything against Olympiacos in our final game of this stage of the Champions League, but first we need to recover.

“We know it’s not going to be easy but we are ready for these kind of games,” he said.

“Now we’re going to recover, because we gave a lot today. We played a good game and we have time to think about Olympiacos.”

The Frenchman didn’t have a lot to do against Zagreb and although he didn’t make any glaring mistakes, I’m unsure how much he really needs to rest. Perhaps it’s his age, I don’t know.

Hopefully this win will kick-start our season again and boost our confidence enough to beat Norwich at the weekend. After losing to West Brom, we can’t afford to drop another three points against a team we should be beating.

Fingers crossed for no more injuries, eh?
