Arsenal right-back has won Catalan Young Player of the Year award after his breakthrough season in north London.

At the age of just 19 last season, Arsène Wenger had little choice but to thrust Bellerín into the first team for the first time, due to a number of injuries. The former Barcelona man snatched his chance with both hands and, now 20, is quickly becoming one of the finest fullbacks in Europe.

On the back foot, Bellerín is a solid defender good at reading play and physically strong. Offensively he is intelligent and sound technically. Both sides of his game are underpinned by his incredible acceleration, but he is much more than just pacy.

The Gunners have missed him when he hasn’t been available this season, winning just one of six games and struggling at both ends of the pitch. Arsenal fans should look forward to a long future with Bellerín in the side.

Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez and Lazio forward Keita came second and third, with Bellerín taking 57% of the vote.

Congratulations Héctor! We hope to see the Spaniard fit again and back in the side. after the international break.
