The rumours that Francis Coquelin has seriously injured his knee and is out for months are beginning to get louder.

Le Coq and Arteta are just the latest in a long list of injuries, which is leaving us lacking on the pitch. We’re really missing the likes of Ramsey and Theo, and we’re seriously down to our bare bones. We’re lacking speed, creativity, and someone to run things properly in the midfield.

Arsene has spoken about our numerous injury crises before and acknowledged that they need to be stopped. However, nothing appears to be changing.

Are we overplaying them? Not allowing them to rest properly? Over-training them? Not treating them adequately when they do tweak something? I have no idea, I’m no expert.

However, it does beg the question, when is enough, enough?

How many seasons do we have to get struck down by multiple injuries for us to realise this probably isn’t a coincidence and that something needs to change?

As fans, we’re completely in the dark. Perhaps it’s naive to assume that Wenger isn’t investigating the matter behind the scenes. All I know as, we can’t keep going on like this. It’s like the footballing version of Groundhog Day.
