Jack Wilshere has been the latest person to add his voice to the growing Mesut Ozil appreciation club after the German grabbed yet another assist against Everton on Saturday.

Speaking as a guest on Goals on Sunday, Jack said “When you’ve got a player like Mesut who can pick out a ball like that [for Giroud’s assist], that’s different class.”

Jack wasn’t the only one to praise Ozil this weekend, with the boss telling the media after the game “He is a top-class player, honestly. I think rather than talking about him I would rather watch him play again. If you love to watch football, you love to watch Ozil.”

Ozil’s assist against the Toffees was his seventh Premier League assist of the season (in nine games) while across all competitions, the magician has been directly involved in a goal (assist or scoring) every 146 minutes.

He’s also producing just under four key passes per game while he’s creating almost five chances per game in the Premier League.

Over the weekend it was revealed that Ozil, despite only being in the league since 2013, has already made Premier League history.
