Arsene Wenger has chosen to stand by David Ospina after his blunder in the Champions League against Olympiacos and insisted that both him and Petr Cech are world class.

In a statement that is bound to only rile Arsenal fans further, the boss has once against labeled the Colombian goalkeeper Ospina ‘world class’.

Many have been skeptical of the younger goalkeeper’s ability between the sticks after several ‘mishaps’ which would make even Emmanuel Almunia raise an eyebrow.

Against Swansea last season, the Welsh team managed to score after Ospina scooped a shot backwards out of our goal after it’d crossed the line and more recently against Spurs in the Capital One Cup, the Colombian dropped the ball just inches outside the goal line.

The blunder against Olympiacos was the last straw for the remaining fans who had chosen to show faith in Ospina. Now, it seems pretty clear that Arsene is the only one who is still willing to give him a chance.

Speaking before the match in the Premier League against Manchester United, Wenger said, “Looking at Ospina and Petr Cech, I think I have two world-class goalkeepers and it is the easiest choice I have to make because I can pick either of the two and I am very comfortable.

“It is the most difficult as well, because the two of them are world-class players and always you have to leave one out. No matter who plays you have a good goalkeeper in goal.”

I’m all for second chances but surely now it’s getting a bit ridiculous?
