Aaron Ramsey will be out of action for the next four weeks, at least, after damaging his hamstring on Tuesday night against Bayern Munich.

The midfielder pulled up as he attempted to sprint for the ball in the second half and instantly clasped his hand to his hamstring.

As he trudged off, you could sense that it was more than just a strain that would keep him out for 2-3 weeks and it would become a worrying wait to find out just how long we’d have to do without him.

Speaking to Arsenal.com, Arsene Wenger has ruled Ramsey out until after the next international break which takes place after the Spurs game on 8th November and also pointed the finger squarely at Ramsey’s international duties as a major contributing factor.

“He had a scan today but he’s out. I believe he will be out until after the next international break.

“With the [last] international break, the fact that he played against Andorra certainly cost Bale and him as well.”

Ramsey was plagued with hamstring problems last season and it is a shame to see them start to trouble him again with only a few months of the seasons underway.

Last year, Arsenal claimed they knew the reasons Rambo was struggling with this particular injury so often, so let’s hope that knowledge is useful as they try and get him back in time for the hectic Christmas period.
