Robbie Savage decided to open his mouth again recently and for once, what came out of it actually made sense.

Savage believes that, despite previously believing Man United would win the league, it’ll now be between Arsenal and Man City, with the Red Devils potentially coming third and Chelsea… goodness knows where.

Chelsea’s complete car crash of a season so far has severely jeopardised their chances of winning the title and even finishing within the top four. With this in mind, the title race has been blown more or less wide open and a number of teams could clinch it.

“I tipped Manchester United to win the league, I thought they were going to make some marquee signings,” Savage said.

At the moment, the Sky Blues sit on top by two points but even they’ve stuttered at certain points, losing 2-1 to West Ham at home and by the same scoreline to Juventus in the Champions League.

“But do I think Manchester United will win the league now? Manchester City’s biggest rivals are Arsenal,” the pundit continued.

“I don’t think Arsenal will qualify for the Champions League group stages and that could help them in the league.

“I think United will finish third. With the season and Chelsea are having, I think it’s there to be won.”

The 3-0 win Arsenal had over United has done more than just propel us to second in the league, it’s convinced a lot of people that we’re capable of challenging for the title this season.
