David Ospina has spoken while away for Colombia on national duty and claims to believe this particular team can really go places.

Despite only appearing for Arsenal three times this season (and the less said about at least one of those performances the better), he’s now made 57 appearances in total for his country and is their primary goalkeeper.

Speaking before Colombia’s 2-0 win against Peru, the keeper revealed how they planned on beating the rivals, saying, “Colombia has always been known for being strong defensively and all who are in those positions do very good way.

“It’s a team that defends well and *contragolpea fast, has quick players with good technique and good punch.”

*I have no idea.

Well Ospina’s research obviously paid off, considering his team won the World Cup South America qualifying match.

It’s unclear how long Ospina will remain an Arsenal player.

As much as Wenger has stood by him publicly, the boss is bound to have noticed the amount of individual errors the Colombian makes. The keeper was previously linked with a move away, as he was disappointed with his lack of playing time, and it’s now looking increasingly likely that he won’t be with us much longer.
