Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson is having one hell of a season at West Ham United.

The defender is at Upton Park on loan for the second season running, and he sure is making the most of it at both ends of the pitch.

Saturday’s trip to Selhurst Park was a daunting one for West Ham, but the Hammers won to continue their record as the Premier League’s best away team. Four wins from five games on the road have come at Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and now Crystal Palace (who are 6th) yet they somehow drew at Sunderland, who lie in 19th place.

Jenkinson scored in the 2-2 draw at Sunderland and managed to find the back of the net again to open the scoring against Palace on Saturday afternoon!

A great run and a calm finish, great work Carl!

Within a minute, in spectacular Jenkinson-banter fashion, he had brought down Dwight Gayle in his own box. Yohan Cabaye had to take the penalty twice and scored at the second attempt, before Gayle was sent off before the end of the first half.

West Ham recovered to score twice late on and claim all three points, while Jenkinson added to his impressive season.

He’s played in goal, been sent off, given away two penalties and scored twice. He might not be the most reliable right-back in the world ,but he sure does make things interesting.
