An incredibly fast-paced start to the game against Manchester United saw Arsenal see off the Red Devils on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors came to the Emirates Stadium having won their last three Premier League games, but couldn’t continue that impressive run with Arsenal stunning them from the start.

From the very first whistle, Arsenal were intense, aggressive, and didn’t let United settle on the ball. Even more importantly, Arsène Wenger’s men constantly made the right decisions on the ball, and ripped through the Manchester United defence as a result.

Two goals in the opening seven minutes set us on our way.

“We wanted to start stronger because in the last game, we played at home in the Champions League and we lost, so the memory wasn’t good enough for us,” Nacho Monreal said after the game.

“We knew that we were going to play against a strong team so we needed to start really strongly.”

“I think we did – our first 15 minutes were amazing. We pressed high and I think we did everything amazingly.

“For this reason, after 20 minutes we were winning 3-0. We are really happy about our performance.”

Everything went right.

Arsenal dragged United out of position to create space and then exploited the openings expertly. Mesut Özil and Alexis Sánchez showed their class to rip apart the United defence, with Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey providing a high-class supporting act.

From full-back both Monreal and Héctor Bellerín were superb, while Francis Coquelin won the ball and Cazorla pulled the strings from deeper.

Playing with pace, quality and intensity, this was a hungry Arsenal team. Let’s see more of the same.
