Héctor Bellerín is just 20 years old. For Arsenal fans everywhere, that is very exciting.

The Spaniard was troubled early on during Tuesday’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich, as rapid and direct winger Douglas Costa constantly attacked him down the wing.

Most player would’ve gone into their shells, maybe their confidence would’ve been rocked, but Bellerín – barely out of his teens and playing his sixth ever Champions League game took it all in his stride to deliver a huge second half display for Arsène Wenger’s side.

With Arsenal already a goal up, and after Bellerín had already had an incredibly busy 90 minutes, he continued to drive forward in search of a second goal. Firstly he went by David Alaba like it was no problem, and then he did the same to Thiago after robbing a ball he had no right to win.

Oh yeah, and he delivered an assist too. Douglas Costa went past Bellerín a number of times and just one of his 11 crosses was successful. When in a dangerous area at the other end, Bellerín picked his head up and played a perfect pass.

Defensively, the Spaniard is still improving and will continue to do so. He’s rarely made to look bad and won’t face anyone quite as quick as Douglas Costa in the Premier League. He’s already played against Eden Hazard on three occasions and made him look ordinary, while Memphis Depay was subbed off at half time in the Premier League lately as he’d had such little joy from playing against Bellerín.

Arsenal have a right-back who can do anything. He’s heading straight to the top.
