Aston Villa are reportedly keen to bring former Gunner Benik Afobe to Villa Park.

The striker signed for Wolves in January and has since gone on to feature 32 times for the Championship side, scoring 17 goals and assisting six. He’s having a great time with his new team after spending years being loaned out to various clubs as an Arsenal youth.

It’s therefore no wonder that Tim Sherwood wants to sign the 22-year-old. Villa are currently struggling in the relegation zone having only won four points in eight games.

After selling their main goalscorer Benteke to Liverpool in the summer, Villa are finding it hard to find goals and buying a prolific forward such as Afobe would be a good place to start.

However, whether Wolves would want to sell the striker after only having him since January is another question. Villa are reportedly willing to offer £10m, but would this be enough to turn the Championship side’s heads?
