Arsenal are reportedly chasing Celta Vigo’s winger, Nolito.

The 28-year-old is apparently also being linked heavily with a move to Barcelona since the La Liga giants sold Pedro to Chelsea in the summer transfer window. However, due to their transfer ban, they were unable to secure the Spaniard previously and have since dropped interest.

Arsenal, however, are apparently very interested and are looking to bring him in.

The winger’s release clause is €24m, which isn’t bad considering he’s scored five goals and assisted three in just seven appearances for Celta Vigo this season.

At 28, the forward will be just reaching his prime and if Theo continues to flourish as a striker, shoring up our flanks might be a good idea come January. Saying this, Nolito tends to play on the left, not Theo’s favoured right, and therefore if we were to bring him in, shuffling Alexis around might be the way to go.

Alternatively, could Wenger be looking to move Alexis centrally if Welbeck’s recovery doesn’t go to plan?

We’ll have to in the winter.
