The Daily Star are currently linking Arsenal to German youngster Leroy Sane.

The 19-year-old winger from Schalke has already turned down the likes of Spurs and Liverpool but the club director, Horst Heldt, is anxious about losing the youngster, considering his talent.

“There has been one or more prestigious clubs that contacted us about Sane,” Heldt said. “Liverpool were ready to pay the money for him but this offer didn’t at all interest us or the player.

“But I am really concerned about losing the player. Leroy can have a great career ahead of him. He is on the right track.”

Arsenal are always going to be linked with promising young wingers. Having strong, pacey forwards is a huge part of how we attack and having them in abundance has always been Wenger’s preferred game plan.

Although as far as we know this is just currently speculation, Sane definitely seems to be the type of player the boss would sign. He’s scored four goals and assisted three in just 14 appearances for the Bundesliga club.

At the moment, our first team has a number of great players who play in the German’s position. However, at his age, it’s far more likely that he would be required to slot into your youth team first before being introduced to first team games.

Here are some of Sane’s highlights for Schalke below.
