Arsenal apparently want Pep Guardiola as manager after Arsene Wenger leaves.

If John Cross from the mirror is to be believed (umm…) Arsenal want the current Bayern Munich boss rather than current assist manager, Steve Bould to take over.

Of course, this is a lovely dream but whether it would actually happen is another matter.

Pep is happy in the Bundesliga. His team are doing well and he’s once against enjoying success at a big club after Barcelona.

On the other hand, when Wenger does leave, it’s hard to believe that a huge name isn’t already at least in mind. The boss has been at the club for so long now he’s become part of the furniture and filling his shoes will be a massive task.

Putting an unknown or inexperienced manager in charge of Arsenal Football Club just won’t be good enough and maybe I’m just being optimistic, but having someone of Pep’s ability at the club would be amazing.
