David Ospina could look to force his way out of Arsenal.

The Colombian goalkeeper made a terrible error in the recent Champions League defeat to Olympiacos, and may be dropped for the crucial back-to-back games against German champions Bayern Munich as the Gunners look to escape from Group F against all odds.

Two defeats in a row with Ospina in goal may convince Wenger that he has to play his strongest side in the next games, and that includes Petr Čech. Ospina is likely to play in the League Cup fourth round tie against Sheffield Wednesday, but according to the Daily Mail, the 27-year-old may not be interested in sticking around if he does face the axe in Europe’s top competition.

They say that, while on international duty with Colombia, he has told journalists his Arsenal future looks ‘difficult’ and is subject to a number of offers to head out on loan in January.

Ospina could be interesting Besiktas, Getafe, Genoa and Palermo and would have his head turned somewhat by the promise of regular football, which is increasingly unlikely with Petr Čech impressing at the Emirates Stadium.

After the blunder against Olympiacos, Ospina could hardly blame Wenger for dropping him and the Arsenal boss is unlikely to let him leave until the summer, when Wojciech Szczesny returns from his loan spell in Serie A with AS Roma and Emiliano Martinez returns from Wolves.

Ospina is still Colombia’s number one and kept a clean sheet on Thursday night as they beat Peru in a World Cup qualifier.
