According to reports, Arsenal are considering sending Alex Iwobi out on loan to aid with his development.

As Arsenal change tack in the Capital One Cup this season by using it to give fringe players a game rather than youth, Iwobi’s chances of first team football with the Gunners this season look more than  little limited and it is claimed by the Daily Mail that Arsene Wenger wants to get the youngster ready for life with the first team next season.

The 19-year-old forward Is seen by many at the club as one of the hottest prospects to have come through the academy recently  and while no teams have been linked with him as of yet, there will surely be no shortage of takers.

Of course, sending yet another player out on loan, even an inexperienced one like Iwobi will leave Arsenal with even fewer forward options should disaster strike in terms of an injury crisis.

But, then again, when have injuries ever been a problem at Arsenal?
