As Arsenal allegedly continue our hunt for a forward-slash-striker, we’ve reportedly set our sights on Ajax’s Viktor Fischer.

The 21-year-old has so far scored five goals in 13 matches for the Dutch team and will apparently set us back only around £10m considering our close relationship with the club.

If we do sign the forward I doubt it’d be to play for our senior squad. He’s young and his progression has been slow due to injury and if we are really looking to bolster our attack in the January transfer window, I think we’d be far more likely to go for a more experienced player.

Saying this, the winger is reportedly versatile and able to play either down the flanks or in front of goal, which sounds like a very Arsenal-like quality to me.

I stand by the fact that if we are signing a forward for our first team, he’ll be far more experienced than Fischer.
