Alexis Sánchez grabbed a goal and an assist on Tuesday night, but Arsenal still lost 3-2 to Olympiacos in the Champions League.

The Chilean had a tough start to the season but a hat-trick at Leicester on Saturday seems to have rejuvenated him and he was as busy as ever against the Greek champions.

Twice in the first half, Alexis led Arsenal counter-attacks before finally assisting Theo Walcott to make the score 1-1.

Then Alexis himself, teed up by Walcott, headed home to restore the balance when Arsenal found themselves 2-1 down.

It wasn’t enough, though, with the Gunners conceding immediately, and Arsenal legend Ian Wright is worried the Chilean will wonder what he’s doing at the club sooner rather than later.

There’s no doubt Alexis is one of the standout players in English football, not just at Arsenal, but he will want to win the biggest prizes. Pretty much any club in Europe would have him and Wrighty might just have a point: if Arsenal can’t compete for the Champions League, how long is it until Alexis agitates for a move?

Hopefully it doesn’t come to that.
