Arsene Wenger believes that Arsenal are improving with every match and revealed he’s glad he’s now able to ‘do his job’ for the fans.

The 5-2 win against Leicester was our most convincing of the season so far, not just in terms of the scoreline but overall performance as well.

Speaking recently, the boss revealed that he reckons we’re improving every week and that we’re now back to something resembling our best after not having the best start to the Premier League.

It has been two weeks and the league is tight again,” he said. “You have to be consistent and that is what we focus on.

“I feel like the quality of our game is getting better week by week,” Wenger said. “Overall we are finding the level back that we showed at the end of the season.

“We came to Leicester who have not lost this season and the fact that we came here and won in a convincing way was important for the confidence as well.”

Wenger added, “I’m just glad I did my job for the team and the fans. I’m not too concerned about the result. I have had 30 years of football and I know what is important and that is good football.

“What you want is to manage a team that enjoys to play together and gets better every week.”

Although we’d only lost one match in the league at home to West Ham, the points we were grabbing weren’t entirely convincing and it was beginning to worry many Gooners who were seeing the same old problems arising.

Before the win against the Foxes, Alexis was yet to score this season, Giroud’s confidence was shot and we were relying on an inconsistent Walcott to score our goals.

Now, we seem to be getting into the swing of things and the future is looking a little rosier.
