Arsenal’s Theo Walcott is demanding three points from his team in Tuesday night’s Champions League clash with Olympiacos.

The striker scored in the 2-1 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb and is set to lead the line again with Olivier Giroud suspended, and knows exactly what is expected of him.

Walcott’s current form can’t really be argued with as he looks to prove, once and for all, that he can lead the line. The aim right now is three points against the Greek side at the Emirates Stadium

“We need to get three points. We can’t question that at all,” said the England international. “We need to make sure we have a good performance at home especially and make a statement in the Champions League.”

After an embarrassing 2-1 loss in Zagreb a statement is most definitely required.

“I think losing to Dinamo was a bit of a wake-up call to be honest,” Walcott added, before insisting that the added pressure of needing three points wouldn’t affect the team on Tuesday night.

“I think every game you play under pressure anyway.

“The Champions League is obviously the biggest stage in football and being at home we need to put it right.

“Hopefully we can show the football we showed against Leicester in order to cause some havoc on Tuesday night which I’m sure we will.”

Two goals in his last three Premier League games as well as one in Zagreb, Walcott is showing why he wants a central role. He clearly has the trust of Arsène Wenger and, with Alexis Sánchez firing again too, can score the goals to make Arsenal a very dangerous force.
