Theo Walcott has congratulated Wayne Rooney on beating Sir Bobby Charlton’s goalscoring record.
Despite Theo not making an appearance during England’s 2-0 win over Switzerland, the forward wanted to congratulate the captain on his outstanding achievement.
Rooney has now scored 50 goals for England, more than any other player.
As someone who’s only scored seven for his country, Walcott can’t realistically dream of ever catching up. However, with a goal tally of 76 for Arsenal, I don’t think he’s got too much to worry about.
Although I really could have done without him called Rooney ‘Wazza’.
