During the Members’ Day event at the Emirates Stadium back in July, three Arsenal stars took on Junior Gunners in a Scalextric tournament.

Defenders Calum Chambers and Per Mertesacker were joined by Theo Walcott, a man usually renowned for his speed, to see who was the fastest soon the track.

Pretty embarrassingly, all three players failed badly when up against the Junior Gunners. In a grand final Chambers won convincingly, with Mertesacker in third. Yep, both of the defenders were faster than Walcott, who should probably just stick to sprinting.

Chambers looks set out to miss out on more first-team involvement in the near future with Mertesacker ready to return after illness kept him out of the last two Premier League fixtures. He should, however, be on England u21 duty on Monday night with Walcott hoping to start for the senior side against Switzerland at Wembley on Tuesday.
