It’s safe to say Gabriel is finding his way into the hearts of Gooners the world over.

From his no-nonsense approach on the pitch to smashing Marko Arnautovic in the face on Saturday, Arsenal fans are loving what they are seeing from him.

Over the weekend, after his performance against Stoke, there was one particular stat doing the rounds on Twitter that got the fanbase all-a-flutter – he’s undefeated when he’s featured for the club.

His record reads P11 W10 D1 L0 and during that run the stats were claiming that Arsenal had only conceded four goals in those games but when I tallied them up it was actually six (one if you only count the games he played the full 90).

Either way, it’s not bad, eh?

Of course, it’s a very small sample size and no major conclusions can be drawn at such an early stage but at just 24 years of age, it seems like Arsenal really could have found one for the long-term in the Brazilian.

For the record, his games are:

  • Newcastle 1-0
  • Stoke 2-0
