Arsène Wenger has met the press at London Colney on Friday morning and revealed the late team news ahead of Saturday’s game against Leicester City.

Midfielder Francis Coquelin missed the midweek trip to White Hart Lane and is out again with the knee problem he picked up at Stamford Bridge.

Gabriel could also be suspended after an improper conduct charge was handed to him following his behaviour after his red card in the defeat to Chelsea.

Santi Cazorla returns from suspension and Per Mertesacker is fit, so Arsenal won’t be down on numbers. With Coquelin out Wenger will have to choose two of Aaron Ramsey, Cazorla, Mikel Arteta and north London derby hero Mathieu Flamini to play in the deep midfield positions.

It is likely to be one of Arteta and Cazorla, as both are less industrious than Flamini and Ramsey but calmer in possession, so Arsenal have a balanced setup in midfield.

Mesut Özil was rested in midweek and should come back into the team, along with Petr Čech, Laurent Koscielny, Héctor Bellerín and Nacho Monreal.
