Disappointment against Chelsea is fresh on everyone’s mind, but Aaron Ramsey is looking forward to putting things right as soon as possible.

The loss was a huge disappointment, with two red cards controversially given to Arsenal players while Diego Costa remained on the pitch. A set-piece goal and huge deflected effort were still required to give Chelsea the win, but a second loss in a row leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Luckily we have another game as soon as Wednesday, when we face Tottenham in the League Cup. A trip to White Hart Lane is never refreshing but a win would be the perfect tonic for the current mood.

“We have to move on and put things right on Wednesday,” Ramsey said to Arsenal Player after Saturday’s defeat. “Of course. It’s not good enough for a club like Arsenal to lose two games in a row.”

In that case, three would be even worse. Not to mention the media, who would have a field day.

Ramsey was rested for last Wednesday’s loss to Dinamo Zagreb, while Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla are both out of the north London derby due to injury and suspension respectively. Coquelin was subbed with a knee problem at Stamford Bridge, while Cazorla saw two yellow cards.

“Hopefully now we can put things right on Wednesday. It will be a feisty game with hopefully some goals in our favour.”

Another feisty game maybe won’t be good for our hearts in midweek, but nobody will care if we get a win. The timing is perfect.
