Bayern Munich man Philipp Lahm has revealed that when he first saw the Dinamo Zagreb v Arsenal score, he couldn’t believe it and thought a mistake had been made.

Bayern and Arsenal are favourites to progress from our Champions League group and, while Bayern did their bit, winning 3-0 against Olympiacos in their opening game, we didn’t and lost 2-1 to Zagreb.

“Dinamo are very comfortable at home,” Lahn said. “They have a good group of fans, they’re difficult to defeat.

“The defeat of Arsenal in Zagreb really surprised me. At first I thought it was a mistake!”

In the match against Zagreb, Arsenal completely underestimated their quality and the Croatian team stuck to tactics that worked for them.

The worst part is that Arsenal were probably the most surprised by the defeat, purely because they walked onto the pitch thinking all they had to do was turn up and the three points was their’s.

The Gunners (hopefully) won’t make the same mistake against Olympiacos at home and will remember that they have to actually do the job on the pitch to get the result. If we don’t beat the Greek team, we can pretty much rule out progressing to the knock-out stages.
