Patrick Vieira is rumoured to be taking over from Dick Advocaat as Sunderland manager.

Sunderland currently sit stone bonkers last in the Premier League on just two points with a goal difference of -10. In fact, the only win the Mackems have managed to get his season do far was against Exeter in the league cup…

If the run of bad form continues, it’s being said that Advocaat, who was previously supposed to leave at the end of last season, will finally quit and the man lined up to take over is none other than former Gunner and Man City man, Vieira.

The ex-midfielder is reportedly ready to take up a managerial role at a club, but I doubt he imagined he could be offered a Premier League position so soon.

This isn’t the first time Vieira has been linked with the job. The Black Cat’s owner, Ellis Short, has been eyeing him up since the summer.

The rumours have emerged just days after Thierry Henry was linked with the Motherwell job, although this one is definitely far more likely to happen.
