Arsenal’s Mesut Özil took to Instagram to show off his Adidas boots after the qualifier against Poland last week.
The German playmaker dedicated his boots to his niece Mira, who he also signalled to after scoring a number of goals last season. In the 3-1 victory of Poland, Özil featured heavily and played one spectacular pass to Thomas Müller, which the Bayern Munich man failed to convert.
Özil will be in action for Germany again on Monday night, when the world champions face Scotland at Hampden Park. The midfielder missed Arsenal’s last game against Newcastle United but, should he play against Scotland, will have managed two games in the space of four days and will certainly be in line for a return to Arsenal duty against Stoke next weekend.
Last time Arsenal faced Stoke saw Özil return after a long lay-off, thankfully that doesn’t seem to be the case this time around after a minor knee injury caused mild panic for Arsenal fans.
