Mesut Ozil tweeted on Thursday showing his support for the injured Danny Welbeck.

Welbeck recently underwent knee surgery and it looks as if he’s going to be out of action for at least three months.

Ozil’s no stranger to knee injuries after picking suffering cruciate ligament damage against Chelsea last season and spending months sidelined.

Not long after the news of Welbeck’s surgery broke, the midfielder took straight to Twitter to wish the striker well and give him some inspiring words.

It’s difficult to say whether the other players knew more about the extent of Welbeck’s injury before now but the chances are they knew slightly more than the fans, who have practically been left in the dark since we were told the forward would be out for three weeks.
