Seven goals and two wins from two away games, it’s been a good week to be an Arsenal fan.

The Gunners followed up success in the north London derby with a 5-2 win at Leicester, as the attack finally seems to be clicking.

Mathieu Flamini bagged both goals in the defeat of Spurs, but more conventional goalscorers were on target at the weekend. Theo Walcott grabbed the opener and Olivier Giroud scored from the bench as they bookended Alexis Sánchez’ first Arsenal hat-trick. Now finally, after a summer of speculation and some disappointment, Arsenal’s stars can start answering the critics. Are our attacking options enough?

“I think so, yeah,” Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain told the press on Monday afternoon. “We’ve got a lot of quality up front. The likes of Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky are still to come back so that shows that the team and the squad is very strong.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to start against Olympiacos on Tuesday night, but is far from guaranteed a place in the 11 this season.

Theo Walcott’s move up front has coincided with Aaron Ramsey being shifted to the right wing, and the Ox is less likely to start than ever before as a result. He sees the depth asa  good thing though, and expects the club to use it to their advantage.

“You expect that at a club like Arsenal, so we need to put that into good use, not just the boys that play but the people on the bench at times. They need to come on, play well and then when they get opportunities to play it’s important that they play their roles as well.”

With lots of games to be played across four competitions, everyone will be needed at some point. The England midfielder hasn’t had the best of started to the new season but will continue to have chances to impress, then it’s down to him to take them.
