Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s clash in the Champions League against Olympiacos, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hailed Alexis Sanchez’s match against Leicester and revealed what an inspiration the Chilean is.

The midfielder addressed the press alongside Arsene Wenger ahead of the match on Tuesday and was keen to praise his teammate.

Alexis appears to have finally found his form after an uncertain start to the season. The forward spent the summer representing his country in Copa America and therefore, when he returned, he was far from fit. Now, he’s found his rhythm and is back in business after scoring a hat-trick in the Premier League against Leicester.

In addition, Theo Walcott scored another goal and is looking sharp in front of goal.

“Alexis got off the mark and Theo was brilliant,” Alex said.

The Ox also revealed that he looks up to Alexis, which is great to hear considering it reflects the youngster’s ambition. Alex has had a decent season so far and despite not making a great deal of starts, he appears to really be hitting his stride when he does come on the pitch.

“He is one of the most passionate players I know,” the midfielder admitted. “I look and learn from him.”
