Despite both sides having a Champions League match midweek, most fans’ attention has already turned to the Premier League game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

With Chelsea struggling to get points on the board and Arsenal looking like they might be hitting their stride, if not the net as much as they would like, the clash is all set up to be a thunderous affair.

A win for Arsenal would not only take them nine points clear of the Champions but it would also give the entire side a massive psychological boost given what has happened there over the past few seasons.

Speaking to the press in the wake of Chelsea’s latest defeat, Nemanja Matic is hopeful that his side will be ready.

Hardly confidence-inspiring for them.

“It’s good we have another game in a couple of days against Maccabi,” Matic said. “We have to win, for our own confidence and for the fans. Then we have a derby against Arsenal, so I hope we will be ready for that and we can take three points.

“Of course we are not happy. Everybody is sad because of the result. We are in a difficult moment, and having four points after five games is not normal for our team.”

Whether Mourinho opts to park his bus or look to attack (ha) Arsenal in the weekend’s early kick-off remains to be seen. Whatever option the annoying one opts for, however, Arsenal need to be ready themselves.
