Signed by Manchester United for £3.85m back in 2012, Angelo Henriquez had no success in Manchester.

The closest he came to that was one goal in four Premier League substitute appearances during a loan spell at Wigan Athletic.

An unsuccessful loan with Real Zaragoza failed, but at Dinamo Zagreb he found a home.

The Croatian side took him on loan for the 2014/15 season and the Chilean, who plays with Alexis Sánchez at international level, scored 29 goals in 37 appearances last season, averaging a goal every 84 minutes in all competitions.

He showed pedigree at a European level too, scoring three of his goals in six Europa League group stage games (of which he only started four). This guy knows where the goal is, and Arsenal has better look out.

His move to Zagreb was made permanent this summer for around £1.2m and, after he helped Dinamo to a domestic double in his first season, he has started in the same vein once more.

Four goals in six league games and two crucial home goals in Champions League qualifiers must leave Henriquez as something of a hero early in his career in Croatia. If he continues scoring at this rate it won’t be long until Europe’s bigger clubs come sniffing and with Manchester United plumping for Marouane Fellaini up front at times they may regret their decision to let him go.

Hopefully Arsenal are aware of the threat he poses and he doesn’t catch the eye on Wednesday night.
