Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles scored a dramatic winner from range as England u19s won 3-2 against Germany.

With just over an hour gone England led 2-1 but were down to 10 men, having retaken their lead despite the deficit. Then Maitland-Niles crucially struck an effort from all of 25 yards to double England’s lead and help the Three Lions hold on in Germany.

Arsenal youth left-back Tafari Moore also started for England, who saw the other goals scored by Liverpool and Chelsea stars Sheyi Ojo and Dominic Solanke, currently on loan at Wolves and Vitesse Arnhem respectively.

Maitland-Niles was withdrawn after 83 minutes with England looking to protect their lead, and the young stars sealed victory against a highly-rated German team.

The Arsenal winger is currently spending the season on loan at Ipswich Town, where he has heavily impressed, and will look to build on what was a crucial goal on his England u19 debut.
