Mathieu Flamini was subbed off against Leicester City with just 20 minutes on the clock as the midfielder picked up a hamstring problem.

Keeping his starting spot in the side after a great showing against Tottenham and Francis Coquelin’s knee injury, the Frenchman was replaced by Mikel Arteta not long after Leicester had taken the lead in Saturday afternoon’s game.

Theo Walcott pulled the Gunenrs level and just after the half hour mark Alexis grabbed his first of the season to put Arsenal ahead.

At the time of writing, the second half had just got underway.

Coquelin returned to training on Friday after the swelling on his knee subsided. He picked up the injury against Chelsea last week and had to be subbed off at halftime.

There is no word as to how serious Flamini’s hamstring issue is, but it should mean at least two weeks on the sidelines, most likely three.
