Didier Drogba has taken to Instagram to show him former teammate, Petr Cech, his support ahead of the Chelsea v Arsenal match on Saturday.
The forward said that he believed the goalkeeper would get a “the best reception” at Stamford Bridge when Arsenal visit and, somewhat dramatically, described the 33-year-old as “Guardian of the Blues Temple [sic]”.
@franklampard I know @petrcech will get the best reception ever from @chelseafc fans as he’s been the Guardian of the Blues Temple for all these successful years!!!💙💙💙💙💙💙 Enjoy mon Ami, Number one Legend 😉, but…Come on You Bluuuuuuues 😂😂!!! #onceabluealwaysablue #withoutyouthestorywouldbedifferent #leader #bestgoalkeeperintheworld #bluelegend #penaltysaver #historymakers #onenightinmunich #elevenyearsinblue
Drogba currently plays for Montreal Impact after returning to Chelsea for a brief spell last season and he’s already scored three goals in three appearances. Say what you like about the man but he is a goal machine and, from an Arsenal point of view, I’m certainly glad he no longer plays for the Blues.
