You won’t find many people on the planet who think that Theo Walcott should be a stiker but his stats make a fool out of us all.

Finding the net once again on Saturday against Leicester, it was Theo’s 12 goal in 13 Premier League starts – a stat that, if it was Sergio Aguero, Wayne Rooeny, Diego Costa or Harry Kane, would have him hailed as one of the best on the planet.

But, as it’s Theo and Arsenal and might demonstrate that the boss had his reasons for not splashing stupid money on another forward who would end up not being anywhere close to as prolific, it’s just ignored or, at the very best, played down.

I’m one of the many who didn’t think that Theo could do a job up there, but, I guess, like everyone else, I’d be better off just shutting up.
