Youth coach, Steve Gatting, spoke to Arsenal Player after the u19s 1-1 draw against KZN Academy and felt the team did well, despite the sending off in the first half.

The team went 1-0 down, only to come back from a Ben Sheaf goal after half time.

The coach believes his half time talk regarding how they were going to fight back with only 10 men on the pitch gave the team a boost. He also reckons the u19s, who had 60% of the possession, as well as four shots on target compared to their one, did pretty well considering their long-haul plane journey before that match, as well as having to adapt to a new climate.

Gatting doesn’t think anything needs to be worked on, given the fitness is at a level they’re happy with.

The u19s are currently taking part in the Durban 2015 tournament in South Africa; their next match is against PSV Eindhoven on Sunday.
