Arsène Wenger faced the press on Friday in preparation for Monday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.

The Arsenal manager confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns for the Gunners, though Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky remain out of contention.

Other than that the boss had a few questions asked about transfers, as expected, and said that nothing is close to completion, explaining that transfers are difficult with very few (if any) top quality players who would improve the squad available at this point. As a result he is happy to deal with a squad that already knows each other well.

Liverpool will pose a big test on Monday, having won both of their games so far, but Wenger is adamant that Arsenal must show strong home form as the Gunners look to make up for the opening weekend defeat to West Ham United.
