A restless Edinson Cavani apparently wants out of PSG and could be heading to Arsenal.

The Uruguayan is reportedly unhappy at the Ligue 1 club due to his tumultuous relationship with manager, Laurent Blanc, and wants a transfer away from the club.

The striker has already scored once in three appearances for the french team during the new season and last year he featured 52 times, scoring a phenomenal 31 goals. There’s no doubt that he’s an unreal striker.

However, reports that we’re going to sign the 28-year-old in a matter of days are completely bizarre and, I imagine, unfounded.

There’s very little information around about how much we’d be willing to fork out for the player. The Telegraph claims the sum is around £35m, which is the same amount we were reportedly putting forward for Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

This isn’t the first time we’ve been linked to Cavani and it won’t be the last. At this stage, I don’t see us signing a new striker at all.
