Just as the season gets going we head into an international break.

Arsenal won’t play again for two weeks, but you will be able to watch a number of Arsenal players over the next fortnight as they represent their countries.

Roy Hodgson has named his England squad for fixtures against San Marino and Switzerland, and three Arsenal players have made it.

Kieran Gibbs, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott will join up with their England team-mates before travelling for Saturday’s fixture against San Marino. On Tuesday they’ll be back in London and playing at Wembley as the Three Lions face Switzerland with qualification for next summer’s European Championships in sight.

Oxlade-Chamberlain started in the Premier League for the second time this season at the weekend as the Gunners won at St. James’ Park. It was the winger’s deflected strike that saw the ball in the back of the net in Arsenal’s 1-0 win, and he himself scored on his last Wembley appearance as Arsenal won the Community Shield at the beginning of August.

Also in Saturday’s line-up was Walcott, starting for the first time since that Community Shield win, while Kieran Gibbs has been called up despite playing just seven minutes for Arsène Wenger’s side so far this season. Injuries to Ryan Bertrand and Leighton Baines have aided his cause.

The full squad can be found here.

We wish all our players the best of luck on international duty, desperately hope everyone returns unscathed, and will be watching to see how they get on.
