Thierry Henry is continuing to work towards his coaching qualifications by taking his place on the bench for Arsenal’s u18 game against Norwich City.

With the Young Guns sealing a 2-0 win over the Canaries, Henry was on the sidelines and it has been claimed that he was the brains behind the set-piece which allowed Reiss Nelson to open the scoring.

Many believe that Henry is set for a permanent return to Arsenal in a coaching or managerial capacity but at present he is simply using the club to obtain his badges, something Arsenal have helped a number of former players achieve.

Whether he will make as good a manger as he did player still remains to be seen but with him around the club everyone clearly gets a lift, be it the u16s at Hale End or the senior team getting ready for a crunch Premier League fixture.

Eddie Nketiah scored Arsenal’s second goal of the game while new boy, Yassin Fortune, also took part despite being on the bench for the u21s 1-0 win over Fulham the night before.
