Arsenal fan Mo Farah added another gold medal to his collection at the Beijing 2015 World Championships on Saturday, but the Gunners remained at the forefront of his mind.

Farah played in a charity match alongside the likes of Tony Adams and Ian Wright a few years ago, but was back to giving his rivals run around on the track at the World Championships.

“I just want to thank everyone who’s supported me, my family in particular, the public and everyone, keep sending me great messages,” Farah said to the BBC immediately after the race.

“And also, you know, big game today against Liverpool”.

The game against Liverpool is, of course, on Monday night but Farah can be forgiven for a mental slip after running 10,000m.

Farah stumbled on the last lap but it wasn’t enough to stop him from winning his sixth consecutive global distance title and Britain’s first gold of the 2015 World Championships.

Congratulations to Mo, also a double-Olympic champion, from everyone at Daily Cannon!
