Peter Cech may as well have brought a book with him to Newcastle.

With barely anything to do against the Magpies’ ten men, the Arsenal keeper could perhaps feel he was a due a straightforward and relaxed game after the start he’s had to his career in north London and he certainly got it at St James’ Park.

Delighted with the cleansheet, Cech was never tested as Newcastle focussed more on getting themselves carded than on the scoresheet.
