Krystian Bielik didn’t make an appearance in pre-season due to a foot injury, which he had to have minor surgery on.

The 17-year-old has played seven times for our u21 squad during the half-a-year he’s been with us and is now due to miss out on the opening stages of the new season.

It’s unknown whether the midfielder would have featured in Wenger’s pre-season plans and got a run out against Lyon in the Emirates Cup, or even traveled to Singapore with many of the other talented young players. However, the issue with his foot has obviously put a halt to any potential game time with the first team or otherwise.

The Pole is said to be healing slowly but receiving physiotherapy to help rehabilitate his foot and maintain his strength.

After only signing the midfielder from Legia Warsaw in January, it seems he’s taken to life at Arsenal in more ways than one! Hopefully, as the surgery was minor and he’s young, he’ll make a full recovery.
