According to reports, Aston Villa want Gervinho but Roma are having none of it.

The Premier League team supposedly offered £10m for the forward, but the Serie A team are reluctant to part with their goal machine.

Gervinho signed for Roma in 2013 after falling out of favour with Arsenal. In his final season with us, he only made 26 appearances and scored seven goals. What’s more, was the goals he was missing were worryingly simple, and he was costing the team valuable points by not being clinical enough.

The 28-year-old has continued to be spectacularly underwhelming at Roma, netting just seven in 34 for them last season. Although he has suffered from injuries, his goal to game ration still just isn’t good enough.

If Villa want him, he might be more suited to their level. However, Roma asking for more than £10m, if the reports are to be believed, would be a tad ridiculous.
