Arsene Wenger has said that Yaya Sanogo, who has now gone out on loan to Ajax, is ready to play football.

The striker, although not quite ready for the Premier League, needs to rack up some playing time. Experience, no matter how gifted you are, is essential and although Sanogo has talent, the former, he doesn’t. Even at Crystal Palace he only got to feature in 11 games and he only managed 20 during his whole time with Arsenal.

Wenger agrees that a loan move is the best option for the 22-year-old at this point in his career, saying, “He needs to play. He came to us injured and it took us a while to get him to the top level. He’s ready to play now and I’m sure he can be a good signing for Ajax.”

At Ajax, the striker gets to play under Arsenal legend, Dennis Bergkamp, and will therefore be in very capable hands.

The boss also added, “He has an opportunity to play in the Champions League with Ajax, which is good experience. We have a good relationship with them and hopefully he can have a great season.”

Hopefully Sanogo grabs this opportunity with both hands and realises how fantastic this could be for him. With some much needed experience, he could become a great player.
