After tricking the Lyon defense during a free kick in the Emirates Cup on Saturday to put us 6-0 up in our emphatic win, now’s as good a time as any to view some of Santi Cazorla’s best pieces of skill to date.

The midfield maestro was a revelation last season and although he only scored eight goals and assisted 15 (still not too shabby) in 53 appearances, his contribution all over the pitch was unreal.

Although the 30-year-old has never been lazy or sluggish on the pitch, now he seems to be everywhere at once and is a huge part of what makes our game so fluid.

During our match against Lyon, he tricked the Lyon defense into jumping as he casually rolled a hard ball across the ground, underneath their feet and into the corner of the net.

Here are some stunning bits of skill from last season.
